Fairytale land "Casa de Paz"

Casa de Paz is a secluded Therapy-Center in the midst of a magical land at the east end of the Ojai Valley, in Southern California, 90 miles north of Los Angeles and just 2 minutes from the Krishnamurti Library and Retreat.

Casa de Paz reflects the timeless magic and peace associated with this spiritual area.

Marcus and Eva bought this property in March 2004 to give the land back its traditional purpose. Tucked away on two and a half acres of mature landscaping, there is the stone ‘Peace Chapel’ built in 1922, some say for Krishnamurti’s brother Nitya.

Marcus, Eva’s husband, is a non-denominational licensed Minister who performs wedding-ceremonies and other blessing-ceremonies in the Peace Chapel and the surrounding gardens.

This property has been a very spiritual site for hundreds of years dating back to the Native Americans. It feels like you are touching the ground of a different time and space. Time stands still here, which is ideal to focus on yourself and to begin the journey towards your inner wisdom and beauty.

The Movie “Lost Horizon” was made in Ojai-Valley and it says everything about the area....and about the beauty of the place itself - ideal for TRUE ESSENCE PHOTOGRAPHY......

My Perfect Place

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyable all describe my perfect place. This is a location with horses and dogs, “centering” worship areas, and amazing trails lined with rare, precious trees and bushes. The entrance gates, designed by my aunt Eva, have twirling stars in them and are very welcoming. There is a group of orange trees growing in a fenced-in area near the fishpond with steppingstones around it. Right next to this is a hammock that once you rock in, you fall asleep. Overlooking the Ojai Valley, you can sit in the bubbling Jacuzzi or take an outdoor shower. This is a place of wonder and amazement and is like a tamed jungle. If you haven’t guessed already, my perfect place is my Uncle Marcus, Aunt Eva (and now my brand new cousin Shanti’s) home.

This is my favorite place because the scenery is both stunning and tranquil. The property is spacious, but the small rooms inside the house are as wondrous as the land outside. There are paintings and mirrors and artwork of all types. There are pieces of furniture from all over the world. The room that I stay in is perfect. The way the fluffy and colorful pillows line the bed, I want to stay there forever. My parents’ room is separate from the house and is actually a chapel with stained glass windows. Sometimes I sleep there. The horses, Salvador and Highlander have the most magnificent pen and the stalls are glamorous. They almost make me wish I were one of them. The dog, Yogi, has the shiniest and softest coat of fur that I have ever seen. When you hug him, you can’t leave. For all of these reasons, and many more, this is my perfect place.
